Where the rate comes from
We do not post a mortgage rate.
Ridgeline Credit Union has partnered with The Mortgage Partner for our members long term mortgage needs, and the rate on a traditional mortgage comes from them, not from us.
Purchase and refinance
Quoted by The Mortgage Partner. Not posted by the credit union.
Traditional mortgage loans, with terms up to 30 years, are offered through The Mortgage Partner. They handle all of the processing, and they set and quote the rate. The credit union does not publish one, so you will not find a mortgage rate on this page.
To get a current rate, call (801) 328-1521 and we will point you the right way, or go straight to The Mortgage Partner and ask them for a quote.
Terms, rates, and conditions on traditional mortgage loans are set by The Mortgage Partner and change with the market. Any rate you are quoted is subject to credit approval, property approval, and membership eligibility.
Working out a payment
Estimate it yourself, then confirm it with a person.
You can get a sense of the payment before anyone quotes you a rate. The financial calculators on our site let you enter a purchase price, a down payment, a term, and a rate, and see what the principal and interest would run.
Remember that a mortgage payment is more than principal and interest. Property taxes and homeowners insurance are usually collected with it, so what leaves your account each month is higher than the calculator shows. Ask The Mortgage Partner for a full estimate before you make an offer, and call (801) 328-1521 if you want to talk it through with someone here first.
Calculator results are estimates only. They are not a quote, not an offer of credit, and not supplied by the credit union.
Which loan
How a home loan works here.
Some of these come from the credit union directly. The long-term mortgage goes to a partner who does nothing else. A loan officer will tell you which one fits.
Traditional mortgage
Terms up to 30 years, offered through The Mortgage Partner. They handle all of the processing with the highest level of service at competitive rates. Start it on their site and we stay in the loop.
Mortgage with a balloon
A shorter schedule with a final lump sum at the end of the term. This one is handled by the credit union directly, so you contact us rather than the partner. Call and we will walk through whether it fits.
Talk to a person first
Missy Seare is our loan officer, at extension 103. She works out of our one office at 564 East 300 South in Salt Lake City. Call before you borrow and she will tell you which loan fits and what it takes to get it.
Run the numbers first
Our financial calculators let you test a purchase price, a down payment, and a term before you talk to anyone. Work out what you are comfortable paying each month, then bring that number to us.
Short-term mortgage
For a shorter payoff than a 30-year term, you can contact the credit union directly or apply online. It stays here at Ridgeline rather than going to the partner.
Home Equity Line of Credit
Put the equity you have already built to work on home improvements, a vacation, or consolidating debt. Handled here at the credit union, and interest may be tax-deductible.

Before you start
Three things worth knowing first.
Ridgeline handles some home loans directly and hands the long-term mortgage to a partner who does nothing else. Knowing which is which saves you a phone call.
Two doors, one relationship
The long-term mortgage runs through The Mortgage Partner. The short-term mortgage, the balloon, and the home equity line of credit stay at the credit union. You are a Ridgeline member either way.
Rates are quoted, not posted
We do not publish a mortgage or home equity rate, because the number depends on the loan, the property, and your credit. Ask for it before you commit to anything, and get it in writing.
The tax question is not ours to answer
Interest on a home equity line of credit can be tax-deductible, and whether yours is depends on your situation. Consult a tax professional for deductibility of interest. We will not guess for you.
